Not so much a house in the forest as a forest in the house

Not so much a house in the forest as a forest in the house

When a house is named “Timbers”, you might expect there to be an emphasis on some of nature’s most durable materials. But this stunning home takes the realisation to an entirely different and spectacular level.

Our client’s concept and brief was simple...introduce as much rare and exotic timber as possible to the amazing residence he was creating in the Warwickshire countryside.

But the execution was anything but “simple” as we scoured the world for woods including Zebrano, Bubinga, Old English Oak, Walnut and American Cherry, and then lovingly crafted it into everything from walls and ceilings to fireplaces and furniture, from doors and drawers to screens and skylights, from internal focal points and conversation pieces, to outdoor decks and staircases.

These few pictures are just a taste of this glorious celebration of the timeless beauty of wood. But the same exquisite attention was paid to every single room...whether it was the lounges or the dining room, the kitchen, the gym or the sauna, the entrance hall or the annex, or in one of the four bedrooms or five bathrooms.

“Timbers”. A house was never better named.
